Web Accessibility

Current University of Cambridge policy is that all College and Department websites should be designed in such a way that compliance with The Disability Discrimination Act (1995) and Special Education Needs and Disability Act [SENDA] (2001) is maximised.

Websites should be fully accessible to disabled users and should avoid the use of techniques and technologies which would tend to place a disabled user at a disadvantage when viewing pages on the website.

Faculty Policy Statement

All Faculty of Education web pages will be designed in such a way as to meet the guidelines published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), available at http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10/, as fully as possible.

All Faculty of Education web pages should be written so that they conform to at least conformance level 2 standard (AA) or (wherever possible) conformance level 3 standard (AAA).
